The
Cork to Swansea ferry takes approximately ten hours with six to
eight overnight crossings per week. During the low and normal season
crossings leave Cork on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2100,
arriving in Swansea at 0700. They leave Swansea on Wednesday, Friday
and Sunday at 2100. During the high season the Cork ferry leaves on
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2100. The Swansea ferry
leaves on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2100 and on Sunday at 0900.
The Cork to
Swansea ferry is operated by Fastnet Line on their ship 'The Julia'.
The ship is equipped with bars, restaurants, shops, cinema and a
childrens area. There are 300 private cabins ranging from 2 berth to
a suite. Kennels can be booked for those travelling with a dog or
cat. Motorcycles are accepted.
The ferry can
accommodate 1300 people, 440 cars and 630 trailers. Check in closes
45 minutes prior to departure. All passengers must have valid photo
identification available when travelling.
Swansea is
ideal for those travelling to Wales or England. The nearby M4
motorway offers fast access to most areas of England and Wales.
