Cork Ferry
Port is located in the village of Ringaskiddy, 12 miles south of Cork
city centre. It is located in one of the largest natural harbours in
the world. The modern port facilities have been developed along the
deep waters of the River Lee.
The ferry port
at Cork can be reached easily by car or on public transport. If you
are driving, take the N25 South link road from Cork city centre and
head onto the N28 towards Ringaskiddy village. then follow signs to
Cork ferry terminal. Dublin is linked via the N8 and N20 main roads.
There is Short term and long term parking is available at the ferry
port. For those travelling by train. the nearest railway station is
Cork, located on the Lower Glanmire Road, about a mile from the city
centre. An hourly bus servie runs from the railway station to the
ferry terminal. The fourteen mile journey takes around 45 minutes. |

The ferry
crossing from Cork to Roscoff in France takes approximately 14 hours
and run once a week. Roscoff is ideal for those travelling to the
Brittany region. From Roscoff you can easily locate the Pink Granite
Coast, Quimper and the popular holiday resorts of Bénodet and
Concarneau. There are excellent road networks to take you quickly to
the Western Loire, the Dordogne and along the Atlantic coast.

crossing from Cork to Swansea in Wales takes approximately 10 hours
and runs 8 times a week. Swansea is the ideal location for those
travelling to Wales or on into England. Close to the ferry port at
Swansea is the M4 motorway which offers fast access to most areas of
England and Wales. Approximate driving distances (in miles) are as
follows: Cardiff (38 m), Bristol (85 m), Birmingham (126 m),

The city of
Cork is the Republic or Ireland's second largest city and is situated
on the river Lee estuary. Some buildings still span the river in the
historical city centre. Visitors also admire the city's excellent
architecture including St. Finn Barre's Cathedral, Gothic University
College and riverside quadrangle, the Blackrock Castle, The Crawford
Gallery, Beamish Stout Brewery, the Jameson Heritage Centre and Royal
Gun Powder.
Away from the
city centre there is stunning mountain scenery making it a popular
area for walkers. You could also enjoy a boat ride to one of the many
islands or to watch dolphins and whales. The area offers some
excellent restaurants serving quality local produce. Look out for the
festivals and traditional events that take place regularly throughout
